Hosted by the Warroad Public School Native American Education Program

A 3-Day Workshop: June 17, 18, and 19 | 1-3 PM

Participants will create their own personal, 12" deer hide Native American Hand Drum, including a drumstick made of leather, sinew, and padding. Learn traditional teachings, traditions, how to care for your drum and sing!

On Days 1 and 2, the Smokey Hill Drum Group will teach you how to make your Drum, and Day 3 will include traditional teachings, singing, and how to respectfully care for your Drum. 

Materials and supplies are provided — this event is open to anyone willing to learn!

Traditional Native American snacks and refreshments provided:

June 17 | Wild rice soup, crackers, and buns 
June 18 | Bison chili, cheese, sour cream, and buns 
June 19 | Pulled pork sandwiches, chips, and coleslaw 

Registration: $45 | Scholarships are available for Warroad Students, contact Mrs. Danielle Smith

Ages: All ages are welcome! Ages 11 and younger require an adult.
